1.67 Carat Marquise Cut Diamond, RIV-D, PURE, GIA Certified

This is a natural marquise cut diamond of 1.67 carat, colour River D, clarity PURE, with a GIA certificate. It comes from Royal Coster Diamonds in Amsterdam, the oldest still operating diamond polishing house in the world, founded in 1840.

The cut. The marquise is an elongated shape with a point at both ends. Because the weight is spread over a long surface, a marquise looks larger than most other shapes of the same carat weight. On the hand the length makes the finger appear slimmer.

Colour. River D is the top of the colour scale and fully colourless. Set in white gold or platinum, the stone shows no tint.

Clarity. PURE means that no inclusions can be found inside the stone under 10x magnification. It is the highest clarity grade in our collection.

Certificate. The diamond was graded by GIA, an independent laboratory. The certificate confirms that the diamond is natural and records its weight, colour, clarity and cut.
