1.03 Carat Marquise Cut Diamond, Fancy Intense Orange, SI-2, GIA Certified

This is a natural marquise cut diamond of 1.03 carat, colour Fancy Intense Orange, clarity SI-2, with a GIA certificate. It comes from Royal Coster Diamonds in Amsterdam, the oldest still operating diamond polishing house in the world, founded in 1840.

The cut. The marquise is an elongated shape with a point at both ends. Because the weight is spread over a long surface, a marquise looks larger than most other shapes of the same carat weight. On the hand the length makes the finger appear slimmer.

Colour. This is a natural fancy coloured diamond. The colour is part of the stone itself and is described on the certificate. In fancy diamonds the colour, not the absence of it, determines the value.

Clarity. SI-2 stands for Slightly Included. The inclusions are visible under 10x magnification. Our diamond specialists can tell you where they are located in this stone.

Certificate. The diamond was graded by GIA, an independent laboratory. The certificate confirms that the diamond is natural and records its weight, colour, clarity and cut.
