A Diamond Contribution from Royal Coster Diamonds at the DNA Gala

DNA Gala

On November 25, 2023, the DNA Gala took place at the RAI Amsterdam. Royal Coster Diamonds participated and offered an auction lot that raised an impressive amount of €6,000. This lot included an exclusive masterclass in diamond cutting. The highest bidder has already claimed the prize.

The masterclass commenced with a warm welcome and a glass of champagne, followed by a session with one of our experienced diamond cutters, who unveiled all the secrets of the craft. The winner of the lot was then given the unique opportunity to sit behind the cutting table and cut their own 0.25 diamond. The self-cut diamond was then set in an 18K gold ring.

The DNA Gala, organized to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, was a great success. During this special evening, an impressive amount of €1,537,311 was raised. The proceeds are used for research on early diagnostics at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, aiming to improve the early detection of cancer. This contributes to increasing the chances of recovery and refining treatments, aligning with the hospital's mission of 'a cure for every form of cancer,' making it more of a reality. The event, attended by many visitors, was hosted by Paul de Leeuw. The program also featured dazzling performances by artists such as Edsilia Rombley and the Sonny’s Inc. Bigband, creating a memorable atmosphere.
