2.01 Carat Emerald Cut Diamond, TW-G, PURE, HRD Certified

This is a natural emerald cut diamond of 2.01 carat, colour Top Wesselton G, clarity PURE, with an HRD certificate. It comes from Royal Coster Diamonds in Amsterdam, the oldest still operating diamond polishing house in the world, founded in 1840.

The cut. The emerald cut is a rectangular step cut with cropped corners. Its long, parallel facets work like a hall of mirrors: instead of sparkle you see broad flashes of light and a clear view into the stone. Because the cut hides very little, clarity matters more here than in a brilliant cut.

Colour. Top Wesselton G sits at the top of the near colourless range. Face up the stone looks white, in white as well as yellow gold.

Clarity. PURE means that no inclusions can be found inside the stone under 10x magnification. It is the highest clarity grade in our collection.

Certificate. The diamond was graded by HRD, an independent laboratory. The certificate confirms that the diamond is natural and records its weight, colour, clarity and cut.
