1.04 Carat Princess Cut Diamond, TW-F, VVS-1, GIA Certified

This is a natural princess cut diamond of 1.04 carat, colour Top Wesselton F, clarity VVS-1, with a GIA certificate. It comes from Royal Coster Diamonds in Amsterdam, the oldest still operating diamond polishing house in the world, founded in 1840.

The cut. The princess cut is square with sharp corners and a brilliant style facet pattern. It combines the clean outline of a square with the light return of a brilliant. The pointed corners are best protected by a setting with a prong on each corner.

Colour. Top Wesselton F is in the colourless range. Set in white gold or platinum, the stone shows no tint.

Clarity. VVS-1 stands for Very Very Slightly Included. The inclusions are so small that even a trained grader has difficulty finding them under 10x magnification.

Certificate. The diamond was graded by GIA, an independent laboratory. The certificate confirms that the diamond is natural and records its weight, colour, clarity and cut.
