0.70 Carat Heart Cut Diamond, Fancy Intense Orange, SI-1, GIA Certified

This is a natural heart cut diamond of 0.70 carat, colour Fancy Intense Orange, clarity SI-1, with a GIA certificate. It comes from Royal Coster Diamonds in Amsterdam, the oldest still operating diamond polishing house in the world, founded in 1840.

The cut. The heart cut is a brilliant style cut with a cleft at the top and a point at the bottom. Symmetry is what matters most here: the two halves have to mirror each other exactly for the shape to read clearly.

Colour. This is a natural fancy coloured diamond. The colour is part of the stone itself and is described on the certificate. In fancy diamonds the colour, not the absence of it, determines the value.

Clarity. SI-1 stands for Slightly Included. The inclusions are visible under 10x magnification. Our diamond specialists can tell you where they are located in this stone.
